We're here to help you through the process of downsizing!
Think of us as a weight loss support group that meets de-cluttering. Our mission is to help create a supportive environment where participants can tackle their “to-do’s” and the mountains of stuff they may have accumulated in a supportive and humorous way. Whether your plan is to live safely in your current home or you’re thinking of making a move, all are welcome to join our lively group. Come ready to share, learn and support each other as we approach downsizing and home organization projects.

DOWNSIZING SUPPORT GROUP
Jami Shapiro, the Founder of Silver Linings Transitions, hosts this monthly free support group on downsizing and organizing your home. Jami has been in the transition management and home organization industry for over 10 years, and has led downsizing and move management talks across Southern California and nationally. She combines humor and a personal understanding of hoarding disorder as well as chronic disorganization to make the group both fun and relatable!
PEER SUPPORT
We've created a community where people who are going through the same thing can connect with each other, share their experiences, and support one another. You'll be able to ask questions and share stories with others who understand what you're going through and who can offer advice and encouragement.
ACCOUNTABILITY
Our group is all about celebrating small successes and supporting one another through the process of downsizing. We’ll hold each other accountable, and share ideas, tips, and tricks to help you get rid of things you aren’t using or no longer need. Leave each session with action items and learn tools and resources to help you stay on track.

What is a Seller-Supported Estate Sale?
The Silver Linings Transitions team sets up your online auction and leaves you with an iPad. We train you how to photograph and enter items for auction. We pull out any items of “high value” and help broker the sale outside the auction. We upload the photos, set up, advertise and administer the auction. Our team is there to assist you at pick-up. We can assist with packing and shipping for sales outside of San Diego (at an additional fee). You keep 70-80% of the proceeds depending on the platform you choose.
